Chestnut Ridge Dulcimer Festival was...
..a huge success, if I can add my two-cents worth. (this is my blog, so I think I will)
Folks, if you'd like to hear (or learn) the mountain dulcimer or hammer dulcimer or auto harp...
...clear next June's calendar so you can attend the Chestnut Ridge Dulcimer Festival in Greensburg, PA next year. This past weekend's event drew from 12 states and brought in some of the most talented players and workshop leaders from across the US. Among the instructors were Lindsay Haisley, Steven Seifert, Molly McCormack, Susan Trump, and Louise Ziegler, to name a few.
Notable among the vendors there were some extremely nice autoharps made by John Hollandsworth of Blue Ridge Autoharps and some really great mountain dulcimers from Steve Miklos and Carrot Creek Music.
Special thanks goes out to Don and Betty Brinker for hosting this great event. It sounds to me as if you out did yourselves again this year!
Also thanks goes to Karla Armstrong (Karla, I AM gong to get me one of those autoharps) for allowing me to play on Sunday morning.
And to Steven Seifert for the awesome mountain dulcimer playing and classes (and all the one-on-one, too).
A Great Time Was Had By All (including me),
-Jack
